Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Aiken, SC is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for engine testing. You will plan, execute and oversee QC procedures for diesel engines, lead qualification efforts and ensure compliance with internal standards and ISO 9001.

You will analyze results, drive CAPA actions, and collaborate across design, manufacturing and supplier quality teams to qualify components and improve test programs. A compressed week and OT are expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in quality control or testing within a diesel engine manufacturing environment.
• Four 10-hour workdays Mon–Thu; overtime may be required.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee quality control procedures in the engine testing area for diesel engines.
• Lead and coordinate product and part qualifications, define quality criteria and validate designs.
• Review and approve test protocols, procedures and data collection methods.
• Analyze test results, identify trends and drive CAPA actions.
• Coordinate with testing team to troubleshoot test stands and instrumentation faults.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and supplier quality teams to qualify components.
• Develop and implement SPC, Cpk, GR&R to monitor test outcomes and capability.
• Ensure ISO 9001 and environmental/safety regulatory compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and 8D reporting; generate detailed reports.
