Lear For You in Vance, AL is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead application, sustaining, and improvement of the Lear Internal Quality Operating System, with focus on incoming materials and lean manufacturing. Responsibilities include 8D reports, CAPA tracking, PPAP/PSW, and mentoring technicians in quality practices.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 3+ years in automotive quality, and knowledge of IATF16949, FMEA, SPC, and VDA 6.3.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years working experience in Quality Engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of IATF16949 quality management system and quality control techniques.
Certified IATF 16949 Lead Auditor preferred or internal auditor acceptable.
Knowledge of VDA 6.3.
Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, TQM, etc. methodology.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and people skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain customer concern countermeasure list for plant issues.
Create and coordinate 8D reports.
Develop procedures for Quality and support internal quality issues.
Support supplier quality issues and design changes/trials.
Mentor technicians on Quality issues and review Quality System procedures.
Manage quality control activities and CAPA tracking.
Prepare and analyze internal quality reports for management review.
Coordinate and facilitate quality audits and customer presentations for Quality issues.
