Job summary

Lear Corporation is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer at the Farwell, MI plant to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction through robust quality systems and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop FMEAs, control plans, and quality documentation, conduct audits, and drive corrective actions with teams across Lear and supplier networks. The role requires strong communication and automotive quality expertise.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive supplier requirements and TS16949/IATF16949.
• Strong customer interaction and communication skills.
• Experience with Six Sigma and structured problem solving.
• Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis tools.
• Experience leading teams and supervising staff.
• Deep understanding of quality planning, control plans and FMEAs.

Responsibilities

• Develop FMEAs, Control Plans, Quality Standards and related documents.
• Perform SER activities and dimensional inspections as required.
• Lead PPAP activities and manage PPAPs with customers and suppliers.
• Conduct internal audits and train auditors.
• Maintain calibration and storage systems for inspection equipment.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions and 8D processes.
• Coordinate engineering changes with Lear and suppliers.
