Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead APQP activities, define quality plans, and drive continuous improvement for welded, machined, and formed metal products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet engineering specs and customer tolerances.

The role emphasizes leading QA initiatives, developing dashboards, and maintaining ISO 9001-style processes while coaching engineers in quality tools and data analysis.

Qualifications

Requires a 4-year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 4+ years of related experience.
Certified Quality Engineer is preferred.
3+ years APQP experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, weldments, assemblies, and fabrication.

Responsibilities

Lead APQP activities and quality planning efforts.
Develop dashboards and QA systems to monitor performance.
Create control plans, PFMEA, and quality plans for products.
Manage Product and Process qualifications (CPK, Gage R&R).
Monitor rejects and CAR trends for the site.
Lead advanced quality initiatives (DMAIC, 8D, Mistake Proofing).
Ensure QMS certification compliance and audit scheduling.
