Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior Quality Engineer (QA) based in the United States to establish and lead the QA strategy for an AI-powered SaaS platform. You will own automated testing, API and integration tests, and release readiness for a complex web application and its services.

You will collaborate with engineers and customer-facing teams to define testing priorities, frameworks, and deliverables while evaluating AI-powered chat features and ensuring compliance with strict data protection

Qualifications

• Five+ years in quality assurance, software testing, or software engineering.
• Experience designing and implementing automated tests integrated into CI and maintained with other engineers.
• Experience establishing or improving a testing practice including tooling selection and initial test suites.
• Strong automation programming skills in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience testing APIs, browser-based apps, and pipelines including headless testing.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy and Automation: identify areas likely to fail and prioritize testing; design end-to-end journeys, smoke tests and integration tests.
• Testing Tools and CI/CD Integration: select tools and implement automated tests via GitHub Actions in CI workflows.
• Release Readiness and Risk Assessment: provide clear readiness assessments and document tests and risks before releases.
• Quality Integration Across Teams: collaborate with customer-facing and engineering teams, align on Definition of Done, coach developers on testing their work.
• Web Application and Cross-Browser Testing: perform functional, regression, and accessibility testing across browsers and devices.
• API and Integration Testing: test APIs and external integrations, create contract tests, handle slow or failing dependencies.
• AI Feature Evaluation: build evaluation suites for chatbots/AI, test safety guardrails, and manage AI-based tests.
• Test Data and Security: create realistic test data with access controls and identify security vulnerabilities.
• Regulatory and Business-Rule Validation: translate policies into test scenarios, including Medicaid rule changes.
