Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Software QA Engineer for a remote role in the United States. The role emphasizes automation, test planning, and collaboration across development, PM, and infrastructure teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

You will lead testing activities, develop automated tests in a C# framework, and mentor teammates on QA best practices while aligning with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of relevant automation experience for Level 2; 5+ years for Senior Level 1; 8+ years for Senior Level 2.
• Experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and SDLC understanding.
• Strong programming skills in C#, Python, SQL, and XML/JSON; MongoDB a plus.
• Familiarity with Selenium, Appium, Jenkins and test management tools like Jira/Xray.
• Ability to assess functionality, integrations, data migration, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead software quality assurance activities for complex releases and projects, including planning, estimation, scheduling, and reporting.
• Define test strategies and testing types to validate functionality, usability, security, and performance.
• Manage end-to-end testing across multiple initiatives with timely deliverables.
• Perform complex testing including system integrations and data migrations.
• Collaborate with infra and dev teams to establish and troubleshoot test environments.
• Communicate issues, support defect triage, and suggest improvements.
• Represent QA in meetings and requirements gathering.
• Define testing tasks with project managers and monitor progress.
• Track QA metrics such as coverage and defect counts using test management tools.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases with a C#-based framework and nightly runs.
• Monitor automated results, investigate failures, and log defects.
• Create test plans, cases, scripts, and summary reports.
• Apply FDA guidelines and industry best practices in evaluating QA.
