Job summary

Prattwhitney in Carlsbad, California is looking for a Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems. You will verify product compliance and interface with various teams to resolve quality issues.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in STEM, with 5+ years of relevant experience, especially in aerospace. Benefits include medical, dental, and flexible work schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing process with composite materials.
• Experience reading/interpreting engineering drawings and process disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Review procedures and specifications to ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems.
• Interface with Engineering, Operations, and Materials groups to resolve quality issues.
• Generate and publish quality metrics including Cost of Poor Quality.

Skills

Experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process

Strong interpersonal skills

Experience with ISO 9001

Data analysis

Six Sigma or ASQ Certification

Education

Bachelor’s degree in STEM
