Job summary

Saint-Gobain Granville (NY) seeks a seasoned Quality leader to own and develop the Quality Management System at the Granville manufacturing site. You will lead the QA team, coordinate root cause investigations, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 across processes, raw materials, and products.

You will drive continuous quality improvements, CAPA programs, and data-driven Six Sigma projects to reduce defects, improve yield, and ensure customer and regulatory requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or equivalent discipline.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Math, Quality or business statistics focus (preferred).
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or similar certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Assurance team for the Granville site.
• Coordinate and supervise shift Quality Control Technicians.
• Support design and implementation of manufacturing processes for web coating, lamination and extrusion with ISO compliance.
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct root cause analyses and CAPA for deviations and nonconforming products; drive quality improvements.

What’s the job?

This is an onsite role at our Granville, NY manufacturing facility.

Provides support to programs in Granville, NY, within the defined World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, in a manner consistent with the Principles of Conduct and Action of Saint-Gobain.

• Position is responsible for the leadership, development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Assurance team for the Granville manufacturing site and its lines of high value PVC & Urethane foams. Will also be responsible for the work coordination and supervision of all shift Quality Control Technicians.
• The role supports the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment for web processing using wet coating and lamination, web handling equipment and practices, extrusions and mixing technology. This support will include compliance with all ISO standards (9001, 14001, & 45001).
• Through guidance and leadership, the Quality Team supports the product development and manufacturing efforts of the plant and investigates any quality issues relating to raw materials and manufactured products. Position will be expected to ensure the plant remains in full compliance with regulatory and ISO requirements as they pertain to the plant, customer specifications, and corporate quality policies.
• Ensure robust root cause analysis investigation and CAPA for deviations and nonconforming product. Develop both strategic and tactical plans for quality culture development.
• Build product knowledge in order to develop or improve product specifications, identify potential failure modes, assess root cause, improve product performance, and drive risk management. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing processes, and evaluation. Applies statistical process control (SPC) and other statistical methods of analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes to ensure that Customer and internal requirements are met.
• Compiles technical data and other key process information to determine product/process specifications and establish baselines.
• Ability to effectively define problems through data analysis, propose workable solutions to minimize defects and waste. The ability to define and work on data driven six sigma type projects. Determine statistical process capabilities and implement process control systems designed to improve consistency, product yield, quality, and throughput rates.
• Customer/Supplier and Compliance Management, including: Facilitate/host customer/supplier/regulatory audits as the Quality representative and ensure robust and effective corrective action to customer audit observations.

What do you bring?

• Required- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Operations or equivalent discipline. Preferred- Master's degree in Engineering, Math, Quality or business statistics focus. Preferred- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ certification, Certified Lean Six-Sigma
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing environment or 3+ years experience with advanced degree- Required
• Directly supervising, leading and developing others- 3+ years' experience- Required
• Proven record of leading successful projects
• Working knowledge of the ISO methodology- Experience in an ISO environment- Preferred
• WCM experience- Knowledge of TQM techniques/Lean/Six Sigma & World Class Manufacturing methodology- Preferred

Pay Transparency:

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,000 to $159,000. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
