Overview

The Senior Quality Electrical Engineer is a fully qualified engineer responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating work requiring independent judgment. The role involves developing quality standards, supporting manufacturing, monitoring design control, and ensuring quality assurance support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate in development and qualification activities for new and existing products.
2. Lead and coordinate quality efforts in project teams to design, develop, and improve products.
3. Perform PCB function verification and maintain hardware PCB issues documentation.
4. Design and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods.
5. Develop and validate measurement methods.
6. Support developmental projects and analyze reports for corrective actions.
7. Participate in audits, inspections, and develop SOPs.
8. Manage, train, and develop staff, establishing objectives and providing feedback.
9. Ensure compliance with QMS and relevant regulations.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Science, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Quality Assurance, ISO, and medical device industry preferred.
• Experience with Electronic devices, PCBAs, and electromechanical products.
• Preferred: Advanced degree, experience in auditing, design review, sterilization, project management.

Working Conditions

Office, laboratory, and cleanroom environments with some travel. Must handle lifting up to 25 pounds and move between facilities. Ability to use standard office equipment and communicate effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $125,000 - $175,000 annually. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), stock purchase plan, paid leave, holidays, and more.

Location

Alameda, California, with potential travel.
