Job summary

AM General LLC is seeking a senior quality leader for its JLTV production program. You will drive the plant’s quality strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and manage key KPIs to ensure defect reduction and strong regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes proactive prevention, data-driven decisions, and mentorship of the Quality Department, including quality engineering and final inspection functions, with emphasis on ISO/IATF alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Quality Assurance systems implementation and management in Aerospace/Defense, vehicle assembly preferred
• 5+ years in people leadership, including team management and mentoring
• Experience leading in a union environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the plant’s quality strategy aligned with objectives and customer requirements
• Serve as the senior quality leader for AM General’s JLTV production program
• Lead plant quality KPIs, including first-time capability, defect rates, and warranty performance
• Drive improvements in inline quality, end-of-line testing, and vehicle validation processes
• Establish containment, escalation, and feedback loops for production issues
• Champion problem-solving methodologies (A3, 8D, DMAIC, root-cause analysis)
• Oversee supplier quality performance and supplier corrective actions
• Ensure compliance to ISO/IATF and other external certifications
