Job summary

American Boa, Inc. is seeking a senior quality leader to drive a culture of quality across the organization in Georgia.

You will lead the quality team, align with customers on requirements, and act as the RM for IATF16949, ISO14001, and AS9100, ensuring strict adherence to standards for automotive and aerospace programs. You will collaborate with all functions to maintain quality, direct strategic quality initiatives, and support new product introductions with zero defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality, Operations or Supply Chain with 8 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years of management and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing AS9100 and IATF Quality Management Systems.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written and presentation abilities.
• Independent problem solver with the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team and see the big picture.
• Automotive and Aerospace experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the quality team focused on building a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Customer focused/collaborative and partner with all customers on quality requirements and expectations
• Responsible Management Representative for IATF16949, ISO14001, and AS9100 Quality Management Systems
• Collaborate with all functions of the organization to maintain the standards required for IATF16949, AS9100 and ISO14001
• Provide strategic direction to the organization on quality systems, continuous improvement, supplier development, new product development and introduction
• Provide support and direction to all new product launches for both Automotive and Aerospace to ensure a flawless launch with zero defects
• Training and coaching on quality tools as part of implementation of Quality Management Systems
• Work with product design and specifications, to assure reliability of product. Collaborate internally to ensure quality standards are effective.
• Identify and manage risk in all areas of the business utilizing core tools such as APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA, SPC, and Lean methodologies.
• Manage Root Cause & Corrective Action process for external and internal customer complaints.
• Interface and assist with supply chain development initiatives and activities
• Responsible for counterfeit parts management and awareness training
• Manage resources and people – conduct performance reviews, career development and training to the team to enhance performance of the team.
