Job summary

LBT, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Leader to own and advance the quality function across aluminum trailer and pressure-vessel operations.

You will manage the ISO 9001 QMS and ensure compliance with customer, engineering, AWS, ASME, and government requirements, partnering with Operations and Engineering to drive defect reduction and cost of quality. The role requires leading audits, supplier quality, and quality planning for current programs and future military/government work, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive quality experience in a complex manufacturing environment, including at least three years leading a quality team.
• Experience in fabricated metal products, pressure vessels, welding, heavy equipment, aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated build-to-print environment.
• Demonstrated experience owning or administering an ISO 9001 quality management system and leading internal, certification, surveillance, and customer audits.
• ASQ Certification such as CQE or similar and experience supporting military/government contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and improve an ISO 9001-compliant quality management system and associated documentation.
• Serve as plant senior quality leader and primary point of contact for customers, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Establish process controls, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria across fabrication, welding, assembly, paint, and final testing.
• Lead structured problem solving using 8D, A3, 5 Why, and error-proofing methods.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to reduce defects, rework, scrap, and investigate escapes.
• Develop and manage quality metrics and regular reporting on yield, defects, audits, and corrective actions.
