Job summary

InSight Manufacturing Services in Murphys, CA, is seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector to join our quality team. This full-time role focuses on inspecting raw materials, machined parts, and finished assemblies to meet drawings, customer, and quality requirements.

Strong experience with CMM and PC-DMIS is preferred. The position requires reading drawings and tolerances, using precision measurement equipment, and documenting results while supporting corrective actions and QMS processes.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient with measurement math and precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, First Article, and final inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Set up parts and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Use PC-DMIS to run established CMM programs and modify or reprogram as needed.
• Accurately document inspection and test results.
• Identify and document nonconforming products or materials.
• Assist with corrective actions and quality investigations.
• Verify inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and internal audits.
• Communicate quality concerns to management.
