Job summary

Aviso, LLC is seeking a Quality Control CMM Inspector for the 2nd shift to perform precise dimensional inspections on manufactured parts. The role requires setup and calibration of CMM equipment, reading complex drawings, and documenting results in inspection reports.

The candidate should have 3+ years of CMM experience, GD&T expertise, and familiarity with PC-DMIS or Calypso. High school diploma or GED is required; certifications are a plus. This is a full-time 2nd shift position in Fremont, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on dimensional inspection using CMM equipment.
• Solid understanding of GD&T principles and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD files.
• Proficient with conventional metrology hand tools and CMM software.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate CMM equipment to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections on precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications applying GD&T (ASME Y14.5) standards.
• Utilize precision hand tools to verify non-CMM dimensions.
• Generate, review, and archive inspection reports and FAI data.
• Identify, document, and help resolve out-of-tolerance parts in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
• Support ISO 9001 / AS9100 compliance through calibration standards and workflows.
