Baker Engineering, LLC is seeking a Quality Process Engineer to develop and maintain manufacturing and quality processes for precision CNC-machined components. This role combines quality and manufacturing engineering to improve conformance, process capability, efficiency, and throughput.

The position collaborates with engineering, production, quality, supply chain, customers, and suppliers. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in CNC or precision manufacturing, strong GD&T and metrology experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in CNC machining or precision manufacturing.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Hands-on metrology with gauges and measurement systems.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and controlled documentation.
• Onsite Muskegon, MI; ability to pass background check; US citizenship.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain quality inspection plans for CNC parts.
• Lead FAIs, PPAPs, and control plans to meet requirements.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconformances.
• Monitor process capability using Cp, Cpk, and SPC.
• Ensure ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance and audits.
• Train operators on quality requirements and inspection techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain to improve throughput.
• Support NPI by validating processes and manufacturability.
