The ideal candidate has extensive QA and supervisory experience, with a strong background in performance and security testing, tool evaluation, and cross‑team collaboration within a government IT environment.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least one year in supervision.
• Degrees may substitute for general experience per listed criteria.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and enforce QA standards and methodologies across projects.
• Lead QA team in developing and executing testing strategies for new applications and systems.
• Provide technical guidance to QA team using software engineering principles.
• Evaluate and integrate QA tools and technologies with ITS infrastructure.
• Contribute to project plans and ensure QA activities align with timelines and budgets.
• Champion SDLC governance and oversee requirements validation, design reviews, and UAT.
• Oversee load and security testing to meet performance and security requirements.
• Manage implementation and testing plans for application rollouts.
• Maintain clear communication with program management through status updates and metrics.
• Align QA activities with NYS project management standards.
