Job summary

KBR in Houston is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Quality Assurance or Lead Specialist, Quality Assurance to support the project’s quality management program and ensure implementation per contract.

The role reports to the Director of Quality Assurance and leads QA/QC activities across FEED and Detail Engineering phases. You will drive continuous improvement, develop and oversee quality plans, coordinate with project managers, and establish metrics for inspections and non-conformances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, industrial, electrical, or mechanical engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Quality Manager for FEED, Detail Engineering, projects
• Proven ability as a self-motivated and versatile manager with strong leadership and communication skills
• Must be able to organize, prioritize and follow-through to complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines
• Highly proficient MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities

• Overall development, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management function within KBR Projects
• Provide project-wide oversight on quality and requirements compliance for QA/QC
• Work with managers on quality matters and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Ensure work instructions are developed, implemented, and analyzed for improvement
• Report on QA/QC performance and client quality metrics
• Promote awareness of contractual requirements across the project
• Establish metrics to identify trends for inspections and root causes of non-conformances
• Coordinate with external parties on quality matters and corrective actions
• Review the Quality Management Plan and assess effectiveness and compliance
