Job summary

Concrete Strategies, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support pre-construction reviews, provide technical guidance on submittals and RFIs, and manage quality compliance regionally.

You will coordinate with project teams and GCs, review specifications, and drive problem solving for quality issues. This role requires leadership of project quality staff and collaboration with corporate and field teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with concrete construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
• Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.
• Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities.
• Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Contract/Scope/Specification review and interpretation
• Pre-construction specification review
• Pre-construction mix design review in conjunction with Corporate Quality Director, Materials specialists and suppliers
• Project safety compliance
• Regional project quality compliance
• Periodic project visits and quality compliance reviews
• Work with project teams to develop solutions to quality issues
• Coordination with GC/Owner when necessary
• Coordination with CSI Operations manager regarding manpower/resources
• Support and manage project quality staff within assigned region
