Goosehead-Insurance is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen our enterprise technology platform. You will drive testing strategies, design robust test plans, and lead manual and automated tests across web, mobile, and API products.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure high-quality releases and mentor junior QA engineers. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, continuous improvement of QA processes, and staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will play an integral role in the development of our enterprise technology platform. They will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet and exceed quality standards through the implementation and execution of effective testing strategies. This position requires an individual with exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to product excellence, and a passion for staying ahead of the latest industry trends and technologies.Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective testing strategies that ensure software products meet and exceed quality standards.Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Goosehead’s software products to ensure high quality, reliability and efficient test coverage.Conduct functional, regression, performance, and security testing of web applications, mobile applications and APIs.Perform manual and automated test execution to ensure applications meet business requirements.Analyze requirements, identify gaps, and provide feedback to development teams for improvements and bug fixes.Focus on early bug detection, working with developers to apply requirements analysis and the refining of acceptance criteriaProvide feedback to the development team on the quality of the product, and advocate for quality improvements and best practices.Monitor the software development process to ensure compliance with standards, guidelines, and regulations.Continuously review and improve QA processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of product releases.Create and maintain comprehensive test documentationProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, test tools, and scripting languages such as Selenium.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Highly developed software troubleshooting and debugging skills.Excellent bug reporting ability and experience with bug tracking system.Experience with Agile development methodologies.Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.Track and report on key quality metrics.Experience with performance testing, security testing, and cross-browser/cross-platform testing.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to mentor and train junior team members.Stays up to date on industry trends and technologies.Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and practices.Preferred:Web and Mobile testing experience.Salesforce platform testing experience.Experience with writing and/or executing test Automation.Experience in an Agile environment.Strong problem-solving skills and an unwavering commitment to ensuring the highest level of quality.Required Skills and AbilitiesStrong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and AI automation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Highly developed software troubleshooting and debugging skills.Excellent bug reporting skills and familiarity with bug tracking systems.Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.Ability to track and report on key quality metrics.Experience with performance testing, security testing, and cross-browser/cross-platform testing.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Ability to mentor and train junior team members.Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices.Strong critical thinking and an unwavering commitment to quality (preferred).Benefits SummaryHigh-quality voluntary health, vision, disability, life, and dental insurance programs401K Matching PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid holidays, vacation, and sick leaveCorporate-sponsored programs to enhance employee physical, financial, mental, and emotional wellnessFinancial Solution ProgramEqual Employment Opportunity:Goosehead is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, guidelines, and regulations.
