A leading technology consulting company is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their engineering team in San Ramon, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing practices and framework design, particularly using automation tools like Cypress. We are actively looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with excellent technical skills who is interested in joining our growing team. Join our bright engineering team with open communication, empowerment, innovation, and customer-centric culture.
Essential functions
· Execute functional, performance, integration, component, and manual / automation testing.
· Design architecture of automation frameworks using Cypress/Playwright automation tools, implement and maintain custom frameworks to monitor quality level of software, setup a pipeline and configure CI/CD system Jenkins/GitLab.
· Complete performance testing, configure stress and loading scenarios and store system metrics gathered during validation.
· Analyze software defects occurring during the testing process.
· Engage in Backend verification in Postman for advanced test scenarios.
· Integrate reporters to represent test results - Allure Report, Playwright Report and connect them with email sender.
· Make estimations for the testing process, maintain documentation, and create a detailed automation custom framework roadmap.
· Evaluate and make proposals to mitigate risks, compile metrics and support Engineers to get them resolved and delivered to users.
· Discuss requirements for upcoming features, integration with new platforms and automation quality planning for new projects.

Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related.
· At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:
1. Architectural planning of Automation custom framework according to client requirements
2. Cypress automation framework (FE/BE validation)
3. GitLab integration and pipeline setup to guarantee fully automated verification cycle
5. Apache JMeter for performance testing (load / stress) with metrics evaluation and improvements proposals
