Job description

Ottimate's mission is to make accounts payable and payments effortless for businesses. We are looking for a Software Test Engineer (SDET) responsible for developing end-to-end test automation and framework for Plate IQ services. You will be responsible for identifying poor customer experience by extensive automated (and if required, manual) tests. The responsibility is to build the right test automation on the most relevant layer. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to enhance the user experience. You should be innovative, creative, flexible, self-directed, and understand quality assurance procedures and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to continuously refine software test requirements, provide feedback on user scenarios, and ensure the product's quality.
• Work closely with developers to clarify functional requirements, test case reviews, and determine test automation requirements.
• Implement test design and work on test automation development and test execution.
• Write robust automated tests for high-availability and scalable products.
• Contribute to improvements in unit testing coverage and design a test framework.
• Expand automated testing and automation scenarios/cases.
• Drive the implementation of metrics and frameworks for production monitoring of services.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Manual + automation testing and UI testing.
• A clear understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Tools good to have: Web driver IO, Postman, Selenium, Cucumber, Etc.
• Tools good to have testrigor, testsigma, Mabl, katalon Studio, Cypress, Testim.
• Good experience with testing web and backend applications (UI, databases, APIs, etc).
• Fluent programming skills in at least one coding language.
• Strong communication skills and are ability to explain complex technical topics to the entire team in a clear and concise way.
• Experience with any CI tool is a plus.
• Experience with load/performance testing is a plus.
