Job summary

UDR Consulting, INC seeks a Principal Quality Assurance/Control Engineer for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site. The role emphasizes QA program development, leadership, and technical problem solving across operations, maintenance and construction.

The candidate will lead complex QA activities, coordinate with site personnel, and ensure compliance with QA requirements. Strong field experience and ability to obtain DOE clearance are important.

Qualifications

• Minimum the following: experience in quality assurance, quality control or engineering in operations, maintenance, construction or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to perform weekly field walk-downs at job sites including potentially uneven surfaces and ladders in remote areas.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills with good communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define scope of technical and quality engineering programs and develop effective, quality solutions for challenging problems.
• Apply advanced QA practices and coordinate complex features in project planning and execution.
• Provide QA leadership inside and outside the department and evaluate program results through surveillance and reviews.
• Develop QA programs and ensure compliance with QA requirements within the assigned facility or program area.
• Communicate objectives and results to customers and management; prepare reports and publications as needed.
• Serve on Facility Review Board and support facility start-up or operation with QA expertise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
