Job summary

Rocket EMS in California seeks a QMS Manager who will own and continually improve an AS9100D–aligned Quality Management System. You will lead audit readiness, document control, quality training, and cross‑functional initiatives to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements.

The role provides strategic leadership to strengthen process consistency, drive accountability, and improve customer satisfaction in a regulated electronics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, industrial management, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience managing a QMS in aerospace PCBA or electronics contract manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, IPC-A-610, and aerospace compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead AS9100D QMS ownership and oversight, including management representative duties.
• Manage internal audits and coordinate third‑party/customer audits with timely closure of findings.
• Oversee document control systems, revision control, and alignment with ECO/ECN processes.
• Drive continual improvement and risk management with KPI monitoring and CAPA activities.
• Provide QMS training and promote a proactive quality culture across functions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to align processes with QMS objectives.
