Job summary

Meriton Energy Partners seeks a Senior QHSE Manager to provide hands-on safety leadership across a major distributed power generation project supporting hyperscale data centre development.

The role is site-focused, spanning construction, deployment and ongoing operation. You will lead safety programs, conduct risk assessments and investigations, and collaborate with project teams, contractors and operations to embed safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Strong safety management experience in power generation, electrical infrastructure, utilities or industrial construction.
• Construction and project execution experience on major industrial or power projects.
• Good working knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety standards for power generation and electrical sites.
• Practical understanding of hazards in electrical work, HV systems, fuel handling and maintenance.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with credibility to challenge teams and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior QHSE leadership across a major power generation project.
• Support construction, deployment and operational safety across the facility.
• Establish, implement and continuously improve safety programs, procedures and site standards.
• Conduct and oversee risk assessments, audits, inspections and safety reviews.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project leaders, contractors and operations teams to embed safe practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and company QHSE requirements.
• Provide safety leadership around electrical systems, fuel handling, equipment installation and maintenance.
• Drive a proactive safety culture with visible site leadership and coaching.
• Track safety performance and report to senior leadership.
• Support contractor safety performance and regional projects as needed.
