Job summary

HMG America LLC is seeking a QE Engagement Lead to own the single-point leadership for validating modernization of legacy applications onto .NET, Angular and AWS, including data migration validations from SQL Server to PostgreSQL.

The role is hands-on and onsite in Charlotte, NC, requiring deep experience leading client-facing QE engagements, managing offshore pods, and improving existing automation, governance, and CI/CD pipelines within established frameworks.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Software Testing / Quality Engineering, including 3+ years leading a client-facing QE engagement onsite.
• Experience validating a platform or database migration establishing baselines and parity between legacy and modernized systems.
• Strong SQL, hands-on with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including dialect differences and data validation.
• Hands-on ETL / data reconciliation and ability to write complex validation SQL.
• Test automation depth in Playwright, Selenium or Cypress, plus API automation.
• Experience testing .NET/.NET Core back ends, Angular front ends, REST APIs and integration flows.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated suites.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for QA leadership; own weekly reporting and escalation path.
• Report status using evidence execution logs and artefacts, not self-reported completion.
• Lead scope/estimate conversations and reconfirm timelines after inspecting the estate.
• Review existing automation framework and governance; propose a hybrid approach with existing practices.
• Extend the client’s Azure DevOps pipeline; avoid creating parallel pipelines.
• Lead reverse engineering of workflows, code, and data into a knowledge base.
• Establish coverage truth and identify duplicates, stale or flaky tests; drive cleanup.
• Own pre-migration baseline execution on legacy platform with frozen snapshots.
• Oversee post-cutover parity validation and data validation across source-to-target.
• Design and execute tests across Angular front ends, .NET services, and integrations.
• Direct offshore team and review outputs before client delivery.
• Set automation standards and unblock the team technically.
