CMG Financial seeks a senior .NET engineer to ship fast against structured requirements, owning features from review to production and beyond. You will modernize across legacy and new platforms, integrating vendor APIs and internal services while maintaining strong test coverage and safe deployment practices.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership and architectural decisions, with a focus on reliable, evidenced deployments and proactive problem-solving in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Deep C#/.NET across generations: comfortable with .NET 8/9 and legacy .NET Framework apps.
• Strong SQL Server skills (T-SQL, indexing, EF Core/EF6/Dapper).
• Evidence-first debugging: reproduce, isolate, and verify fixes with evidence.
• REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth/JWT, and vendor integrations (Salesforce, Stripe, DocuSign).
• Testing habits: xUnit/NUnit, mocks, regression tests, CI-ready code.
• CI/CD & Azure ops: GitHub Actions, Docker to App Service, Azure Functions, Insights.
• Refactoring: planned, incremental migrations with safe rollback paths.
• Clear technical writing: runbooks, PR narratives, rules files.
• Proactivity: own tickets, identify issues, prioritize work without prompting.

Responsibilities

• Ship fast against structured requirements with measurable production speed.
• Own your systems end-to-end from requirements through production and maintenance.
• Modernize alongside new features, consolidating legacy to internal APIs and newer platforms.
• Work across vendor APIs and internal services to reduce coupling and improve reliability.
• Reason about changes with safety: assess blast radius and provide rollback options.
