Capgemini America, Inc. is seeking an experienced QE Architect / Lead to drive quality engineering strategy, architecture, and automation transformation across enterprise applications.

This hands-on leadership role defines modern test automation frameworks and elevates engineering standards across multiple teams. The role focuses on designing scalable automation, improving coverage and reliability, and aligning with CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in IT, QA, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.
• 3 years of experience designing and owning automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience serving as a QE Architect, Automation Architect, Test Architect, or similar leadership role.
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright, Selenium, MABL, Java, Python, or similar automation technologies.
• Strong API, integration, and service-layer test automation experience.
• Experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven success reducing automation flakiness and improving automation reliability at scale.
• Experience with enterprise test data management strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead automation initiatives across multiple teams and organizations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own enterprise Quality Engineering frameworks across UI, API, service, and data layers.
• Define automation strategies, test coverage models, quality metrics, and testing standards.
• Establish automation baselines and continuously improve coverage, execution speed, stability, and reliability.
• Architect scalable automation solutions integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive automation maturity and quality transformation initiatives across multiple teams.
• Define and enforce best practices for test automation, code reviews, framework ownership, and reusability.
• Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for automation architecture decisions.
• Partner with development leaders to increase shift-left testing and developer‑owned quality.
• Evaluate tools, processes, and frameworks using measurable outcomes and business value.
• Mentor engineers and influence enterprise‑wide quality engineering practices.
