Job summary

Palmetto is seeking a Senior Quality Control Technician based in Charlotte, NC, responsible for the review and close-outs of project milestone packages across HVAC, Water Heater, Geothermal, and Generator installations within the Comfort segment.

This desktop-review role ensures compliance with sales, design, and installation specs and guides remediation for high system performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a technical or construction role within the HVAC industry.
• Experience with Water Heater, Geothermal or Generator installation is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to influence third-party contractors.
• Excellent organizational skills and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with data analysis and standard business tools such as G-Suite or Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed review and close-outs of project documents, photos, and system designs across HVAC, Water Heater, Geothermal and Generator projects.
• Verify system performance data and ensure installed Comfort equipment aligns with sales and design specifications.
• Inspect control and monitoring platforms for accurate configuration and functionality.
• Provide feedback for rejected project submissions and guide resolution with contractors and partners.
• Stay updated on industry standards and develop and refine quality control processes and contractor training.
