Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company in Miami, FL seeks a QC Microbiology Manager to lead microbiology quality operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will oversee microbiological testing, investigations, quality systems, and compliance to ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards.

This role offers technical leadership, regulatory alignment, and continuous improvement across life sciences operations supporting medical and surgical applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Experience leading QC microbiology in regulated pharma/biotech/medical device manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, microbiological testing, and quality systems.
• Experience with investigations, root cause analysis, deviations, and CAPAs.
• Past leadership or supervisory experience in a lab setting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC microbiology lab operations ensuring cGMP compliance.
• Manage microbiological testing programs, review results, and document/reporting.
• Oversee deviations, OOS investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPAs.
• Keep procedures and documentation current with regulatory requirements.
• Support environmental monitoring and contamination control programs.
• Partner with QA, Manufacturing, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting accountability and improvement.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections.
