Job summary

The French's Food Company, a McCormick subsidiary, seeks a QA Technician III - Microbiologist for the Springfield, MO plant. Reporting to QA Manager, you will perform microbiological testing of finished products and environmental samples, generate COAs, and support QA programs in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: Tue–Sat 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Requires strong GMP knowledge, lab skills, and attention to detail. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Requires college coursework in chemistry, biology, or microbiology (or 3 years in a lab).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Color vision to detect color differences in products daily.

Responsibilities

• Performs microbiological analysis of finished products per SAP plans.
• Tests plant environmental and hygiene swabs per procedures.
• Prepare media (agars and broths) for microbiology testing.
• Record results in logbooks, SAP, SharePoint, and Neogen Analytics.
• Generate COAs for industrial customers based on requests from the LC.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Participate in proficiency testing and GMP audits.
• Back up as QA Analytical Technician for raw and finished goods testing.
