Job summary

The French's Food Company, a McCormick & Company subsidiary, seeks a full-time Lab Technician at the Springfield, MO plant. You'll report to the QA Team Manager and rotate between the laboratory and plant floor to support QA testing and product quality.

Responsibilities include analytical testing of raw and finished products, using instrumentation (titrator, pH meter, viscometer, HPLC, moisture analyzer) and recording results in SAP/SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and practice of Good Laboratory Practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Color vision required for daily color comparisons.
• Attention to detail in evaluative judgments based on factual information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Analytical Testing of raw and finished products.
• Use test methods and instrumentation (titrator, pH meter, scale, viscometer, HPLC, moisture analyzer).
• Record results accurately in paper, logbooks, and systems (SAP, SharePoint).
• Interpret data and advise manufacturing to meet specifications.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Support proficiency testing and lab maintenance.
• Audit production line quality attributes (codes, fill weights, metal detection).
• Communicate results and collaborate with Operations to fix issues.
