Job summary

EnergySolutions is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to supervise inspection of fabricated and processed products, ensuring compliance with ASME, AWS, and other standards while overseeing vendor performance to guarantee high-quality deliverables.

The role includes reviewing NDE results, developing inspection plans, training Level 1/2 personnel, and coordinating with operations to support shop floor QA, material traceability and problem resolution.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a QC inspector.
• Certifications: Jaeger 2 visual acuity, ASNT-TC-1A VT-II/MT-II; AWS welding inspector preferred.
• Must read and interpret ASME and AWS codes and procedures.
• Ability to operate basic computer programs (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Inspect products to ensure compliance with standards and support vendor performance.
• Provide QC oversight and develop inspection plans and checklists.
• Perform and document inspections, including NDE on components.
• Review vendor documentation for compliance with design and procedures.
• Train and supervise Level 1 and Level 2 personnel; coordinate with operations.
