Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a seasoned Quality Management professional to oversee QC/QA programs across multiple Areas, Large Projects, or Regions. You will lead QC planning, testing interpretation, and client/vendor coordination to ensure compliance and profitability.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, PE licensure, and at least six years of experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
• Experience with quality management systems and testing procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Quality Management System across Areas/Projects to meet standards.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and ensure resource sharing across Regions and Projects.
• Develop project budgets by analyzing requirements and cost structures; oversee billing and work orders.
• Evaluate lab programs and testing protocols to support national lab accreditation.
• Prepare QC plans and data tracking databases to ensure project success and profitability.
• Supervise technicians/inspectors, coach performance, and oversee vendor evaluations.
• Perform professional engineering services (including stamping/sealing) per policy and statutes.
• Provide pre-bid to post-construction support to ensure safety, compliance, and profitability.
• Provide training for QC staff and address customer service issues to maintain satisfaction.
• Promote Granite safety programs and compliance with OSHA and MSHA rules.
