Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program for a Large Federal Project. You will oversee onsite/offsite operations, ensure adherence to FAR 52.246-12, and serve as liaison with customers and regulatory agencies.

You will lead QC personnel, coordinate testing and inspections, and maintain documentation and certifications to meet contract requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction quality control experience with a degree, or 10 years with QC roles without a degree.
• Must complete the Construction Quality Management (CQM) course or do so within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations; ASQ or ISO certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective QC system to ensure contract compliance.
• Manage QC personnel, including hiring, training, and evaluations, ensuring English fluency.
• Provide site presence, lead QC meetings, and ensure safety and sustainability standards.
• Provide technical support for proposals, construction, and materials; conduct inspections and audits.
• Develop QC certifications and maintain inspection records and test results.
