Job summary

Aechelon Technology, Inc. in Orlando, FL seeks a Staff Manual QA Engineer to lead manual testing across major product areas and ensure release readiness. This senior tester will guide test design, coverage, and release readiness, while applying AI-assisted techniques to improve processes.

This role requires 7–10 years of QA experience, strong C++ debugging skills, familiarity with CI tools, and experience with Jira/Confluence. The position is based in Orlando, US.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in manual software testing or QA
• Strong QA principles, software and test lifecycles, risk-based testing and defect management
• Ability to independently plan and execute testing for complex features, systems, builds and releases
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, traceability records, defect reports and test summaries
• Ability to analyze logs, debug, and trace C++ code to identify root causes

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based manual testing for major product areas and determine scope from requirements, designs, change lists, and defects
• Create and maintain manual test plans, test cases, test data, and requirement traceability
• Prepare environments and execute functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, exploratory, acceptance and release testing
• Investigate failures, report and track defects, isolate root causes with engineers, verify fixes, and identify regression coverage
• Coordinate testing across teams and mentor QA engineers in test design, investigation techniques, product knowledge and QA processes
• Apply AI tools to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, draft test cases, assist failure analysis, summarize results and improve documentation
