Job summary

Aechelon Technology, Inc. in Orlando seeks a Staff Manual QA Engineer to lead manual testing for a major product area. You will drive test planning, coverage, and release-readiness with strong QA methodology and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop test plans, maintain cases, and contribute to automation while applying AI tools to improve coverage and documentation. C++ debugging and CI pipeline experience are valued; export-controlled eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of manual testing, QA, or quality engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles, lifecycles, risk-based testing, and defect management.
• Ability to independently plan and execute testing for complex features, systems, builds, and releases.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, traceability records, defect reports, and test summaries.
• Ability to investigate failures, interpret logs, and clearly communicate findings.
• Ability to analyze, debug, and trace C++ code to identify root causes.
• Experience with test management, issue tracking, configuration management, and CI tools.
• Ability to contribute tests to existing automated test suites and pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI tools and applying them to QA planning and documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
• College or university degree and export-controlled technology eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based manual testing for a major product area and determine scope from requirements and defects.
• Create and maintain manual test plans, test cases, data, and traceability.
• Prepare environments and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and release testing.
• Investigate failures, report defects, isolate root causes with engineers, and verify fixes.
• Assess results, coverage gaps, and risk to support release-readiness decisions.
• Contribute and maintain test cases, scripts, utilities, and automation within CI pipelines.
• Improve QA processes for test intake, planning, execution, defect management, and release validation.
• Apply approved AI tools to analyze requirements, draft test cases, and summarize results; review AI outputs.
• Share AI techniques with the QA team and identify tasks where AI improves coverage or efficiency.
• Coordinate testing across teams and mentor QA engineers in test design and product knowledge.
