Job summary

Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture in Manhattan, NY is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead quality control efforts on the Manhattan Jail Project. The role focuses on developing the Quality Management Plan, advising on inspections, and coordinating with subcontractors and testing labs.

You will supervise QC staff, conduct internal and external audits, ensure material compliance with drawings and specs, and implement corrective actions while maintaining rigorous safety standards on a large public works

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years in heavy civil construction testing, inspection, supervision, or management on large public works.
• 5+ years supervising QC teams on large projects.
• Experience with contract specifications as they apply to QC teams.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise Quality Management Plan based on lessons learned and improve the QMP.
• Oversee inspections, in-process and final inspections, calibration records, and training.
• Lead internal and external audits of construction entities and subcontractors.
• Coordinate QC testing with material labs and commissioning agents.
• Ensure sufficient QC staffing and resources for the project.
• Maintain QC records and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
