Job summary

The Kinsa Group is recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality and food safety programs across multiple manufacturing locations in the Greater Chicago area. You will drive audit readiness, CAPA processes, supplier quality, and customer-specific requirements while partnering with Production and Operations.

You will develop KPIs, manage QA teams, and balance quality goals with cost and efficiency. Strong knowledge of GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of quality leadership in food or ingredient manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of GFSI, FSMA, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with CAPA, root-cause analysis, and quality documentation
• Proven ability to collaborate with production teams and manage customer-specific specs
• Customer-facing quality experience and effective communication

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and food safety programs across multiple locations, ensuring SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA compliance
• Strengthen CAPA, root cause analysis, documentation, and quality systems to resolve risks
• Manage supplier quality and FSVP programs, including supplier qualification and corrective actions
• Serve as a customer-facing quality leader, handling communications and investigations
• Partner with Production to manage raw material variability and product release
• Lead and develop QA teams across locations with KPIs and consistent processes
• Drive continuous improvement to strengthen quality, workflow, and ERP utilization
