Job summary

Dessert Holdings Inc. in Aurora, CO is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality systems across our manufacturing operations, ensuring SQF, HACCP and GMP compliance and the safety and quality of products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, biochemistry or related field. Advanced education and degree preferred.
• At least five years' experience managing a QA team and implementing QA strategies.
• Experience with auditing, HACCP, GFSI, AIB, SPC and other quality measuring programs.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality assurance policies for facility-wide quality management programs and organization standardization projects.
• Provide leadership and ensure customer, company, and regulatory requirements are met in all QA aspects.
• Manage QA compliance staff activities, schedule, and performance (including Environmental Programs).
• Oversee SOPs, forms, document control, process control, QMS, and training systems.
• Lead reviews of QA, management and product development.
• Support new product development to ensure procedures optimize quality and shelf life.
• Provide ongoing QA procedures support and CI initiatives across the facility.
• Coach, train, mentor, and support QA team members.
• Investigate consumer and customer complaints.
• Provide technical support to vendor compliance, sanitation, and operations.
• Ensure released products meet specs, labeling, and counts.
• Manage traceability and recall functions.
• Propose preventive measures to improve QMS to executives.
• Plan and verify audits, analyze results and deficiencies.
• Provide SPC and data support where needed.
• Promote food safety culture across teams.
• Support standardization activities and ensure GMP and SQF compliance.
