Job summary

Extreme Networks is seeking a Senior Manager, QA Engineering to lead the quality strategy for our Cloud Networking platform. You will guide a global team across manual, automated, performance, and security testing to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.

You’ll drive end-to-end QA for multi-tenant SaaS products, partner with Dev, Product, and SRE, and push for shift-left practices with CI/CD quality gates and observability. This role offers flexible remote/hybrid work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience, including 4+ years in QA leadership/people management.
• Proven experience testing cloud-based/SaaS platforms; networking domain experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience building and scaling test automation frameworks and API testing tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers and SDETs across manual, automation, performance, and security testing disciplines.
• Define and drive End to End quality strategy, test methodology, and release quality gates for Cloud Networking products.
• Own end-to-end test planning and execution for cloud-native SaaS applications including functional, regression, scalability, and upgrade testing.
• Champion shift-left quality culture with AI, automated testing, and CI/CD quality gates.
• Partner with Engineering to assess release readiness and make go/no-go decisions.
• Build and scale test automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, UI, and cloud integration testing.
• Establish quality metrics and report quality health to senior leadership.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement for defects and customer-impacting issues.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams and offshore QA partners.
