Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Lead Tester to oversee QA efforts, lead a team of testers, and develop comprehensive test strategies for delivering high-quality products. You will guide testing across functional, regression, performance, and UAT testing, collaborating with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, reliable releases.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in software QA with at least 3 years in leadership, strong knowledge of SDLC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of software quality assurance experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Expertise with test management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail) and defect tracking.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Experience with server hardware, data center solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA testers, including performance reviews and professional development.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Define and drive overall testing strategy, methodologies, and processes to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and deliverable expectations.
• Oversee the execution of functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Establish and report on key quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
• Champion best practices in software quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in release planning and deployment activities, ensuring smooth and high-quality product releases.
