Job summary

PJM Interconnection is seeking a Principal Consultant Testing Compliance to ensure quality and compliance of FERC order implementations. The role leads enterprise-wide testing strategy, coordinating with IT Quality Management and compliance teams to maintain high standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in software QA with FERC regulatory knowledge, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a track record of implementing large-scale testing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of software quality assurance with compliance focus.
• 5+ years leading QA activities.
• Strong understanding of FERC regulations and implications for software implementations.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide testing strategies.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Certification in QA or PM (ISTQB/PMP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement testing practices and strategies across the enterprise with a focus on FERC order compliance.
• Evaluate and optimize holistic software testing plans balancing testers and business SMEs.
• Coordinate testing across lines of business implementing FERC orders as new orders are issued.
• Collaborate with compliance to assess and mitigate risks in implementations.
• Advance testing practices including AI integration with quality management leadership.
• Identify training needs for testers and business SMEs involved in testing.
• Bridge gaps between technical teams and business units to align testing strategies.
• Provide regular reports on testing effectiveness, compliance adherence, and quality metrics.
