Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Sr. QA Engineering Manager in Chicago to lead quality engineering strategy and testing across applications, platforms, and major technology initiatives.

You will partner with engineering, product, and compliance to ensure robust QA practices, release readiness, and reliable technology delivery. You will also coach a team of QA professionals, define testing standards, and drive continuous improvement through automation, AI-enabled testing, and modern tooling in a hybrid on-site

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of related experience in quality engineering or QA leadership in financial services or technology environments.
• Experience leading QA strategy across complex enterprise environments with test planning, defect management, and risk-based decision making.
• Hands-on experience with automation-first delivery and modern QA practices, including AI-enabled testing where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee test strategy, quality standards, and testing practices across functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, web, API, and automation efforts.
• Lead QA strategy and drive continuous improvement through automation, tooling, and CI/CD alignment.
• Coach and develop QA professionals, set expectations, and foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
