Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior QA Tester / Quality Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on manual and automated testing, test planning, data management, and ensuring compliance across programs.

You will collaborate with Scrum teams to refine stories, implement test frameworks, and drive end-to-end quality. Strong analytical skills and experience with Jira are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual and automated testing across projects.
• Experience implementing test frameworks and maintaining regression suites.
• Hands-on experience with Agile tools, including Jira, for test planning and tracking.
• Knowledge of data compliance practices and test data management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on traceability and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, comprehensive test cases aligned to functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Lead test planning at the team level, defining in-scope and out-of-scope items.
• Partner with Scrum teams to refine stories and ensure clear acceptance criteria.
• Implement and maintain the team's test framework and regression suites.
• Lead test case reviews with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure coverage.
• Identify automation opportunities and develop automated tests for applicable test types.
• Prepare, condition, and generate test data with data compliance in mind.
• Execute manual and automated tests, record results, and report defects with context.
