Job summary
Tower Semiconductor Ltd. in the United States (San Antonio, TX) is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen the Quality Management System through disciplined process execution and robust SPC/CPK governance.
You will drive data-based decision making, lead 8D investigations, and support audits across cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with global QA groups to ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and customer requirements while coaching engineering teams on
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Physics, or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing. Quality, Process, or Integration engineering in a fab or automotive or similar.
- Strong knowledge of FMEA, control plans, risk assessments, SPC/CPK, and 8D/5-Whys/Fishbone tools.
- Excellent communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary technical teams; background in semiconductor fab.
Responsibilities
- Lead SPC/CPK monitoring and process performance improvement.
- Drive audits and customer-facing quality initiatives; support certifications.
- Coordinate 8D investigations; drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Coach engineering teams on structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Support technology transfer and reliability validation for new technologies.
- Act as QA focal point for key customers; align with global Tower QA standards.
