Job summary

Tower Semiconductor is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen the QMS with disciplined process execution, rigorous SPC governance, and robust product/material disposition systems. You will support audits, drive data-based decision making, and collaborate across functions to ensure customer quality and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or related).
  • 5+ years in semiconductor/manufacturing quality, process, or integration engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of FMEA, control plans, risk assessments, SPC/CPK, and 8D/5-Whys/Fishbone.
  • Clear communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a semiconductor fab.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve procedures, control plans, FMEAs, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure fab compliance with internal procedures and ISO/IATF standards; support audits and corrective actions.
  • Lead SPC/CPK monitoring and process performance improvements.
  • Analyze trends with statistical tools and escalate systemic risks.
  • Coach engineering teams on structured problem-solving and support tech transfers.
  • Serve as QA focal point for key customers and support audits and escalations.
  • Provide clear data-driven responses to customer issues.
  • Align with global QA teams on standards and best practices.
  • Innovate and collaborate effectively.

Job Description

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer strengthens Tower' s Quality Management System through disciplined process execution, robust SPC (Statistical Process Control) governance, stable material disposition/MRB (Material Review Board) /CCB (Change Management)/ 8D Problem-Solving systems, and best in class customer quality support. The role ensures compliance with industry regulation, customer standards, and Tower's corporate quality policies while driving data-based decision making and cross functional collaboration.

This Job Is For You If:
  • You can maintain and improve procedures, control plans, FMEAs, and risk assessments.
  • You can ensure fab compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and ISO/IATF standards. Support customer, corporate, and certification audits; drive sustainable corrective actions.
  • You can be responsible for process Control & Data Integrity-Lead SPC/CPK monitoring and process performance improvement.
  • You can analyze trends using statistical tools and escalates systemic risks.
  • You can maintain high discipline across SPC, CCB, 8D problem-solving, and material disposition quality systems.
  • You can lead 8D/RCA investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions effectiveness.
  • You can prevent recurrence through systemic fixes and improved detection controls.
  • You can coach engineering teams on structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • You can support technology transfers and reliability validation for new technologies (inline/PCM/reliability data).
  • You can ensure NPI flows meet Tower stage gate expectations.
  • You can act as QA focal point for key customers; support audits and escalations.
  • You can provide clear, data driven responses to customer issues.
  • You can align with global Tower QA teams on standards, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • You have innovative thinking and finds creative solutions.

Job Requirements
Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Engineering (Materials, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or a related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or high tech manufacturing. Quality, Process, or Integration engineering experience in a semiconductor fabrication facility, automotive industry or similar preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FMEA, control plans, risk assessments, SPC/CPK, and 8D/5-Whys/Fishbone tools.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary technical teams.Background in semiconductor fab (integration, process, device, reliability).
Nice to Have:
  • QA industry certification (such as ISO/IATF Lead auditor) perferred.
  • Experience with customer audits and customer-facing quality roles preferred.
