Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a QA Engineering Technician to support defect inspection tools and help drive continuous improvement and defect management in a semiconductor fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to collect and write detailed technical reports, analyze data, identify defects.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to manage rapidly changing priorities, multitask, and make good day-to-day decisions.
• Proactive problem identification and practical solutioning (including knowing when to seek approval).
• Strong communication and documentation skills with a customer service and quality mindset.
• Willingness to learn new tasks, tools, and processes.
• Experience in a semiconductor fab environment; quality or defect engineering exposure is a plus.
• Education/experience: Associate degree or 2-3 years semiconductor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support recipe writing, robustness, matching checks, and monitoring plans across AOI/SEM platforms.
• Assist defect excursion investigations with data pull, containment, and disposition support.
• Review defect data, identify trends, generate reports for Engineering and Management.
• Collaborate on containment and corrective actions and communicate risks.
• Execute OCAPs and write excursion reports and lot disposition documentation.
• Revise specifications, write TECNs, and maintain defect-of-interest libraries.
• Develop resolutions to complex problems with creativity and sound judgment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve fab quality and operational stability.
