Job summary

In Time Tec, a Meridian, Idaho-based software solutions company, is hiring a Senior QA Engineer / SDET to own test strategy and automation for a multi-domain product suite. This hands-on, on-site role requires coding, framework decisions, testability guidance, and mentoring to raise regression coverage and release quality.

You will work with Playwright, API testing, CI/CD, SQL validation, and cross-platform testing across web, iOS, and Android.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA or SDET experience with hands-on test automation.
• Designing or scaling production test automation frameworks.
• Deep Playwright or modern automation experience (fixtures, retries, tracing, reporting).
• Strong programming or scripting skills in TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience with API, integration, contract, and CI/CD testing.
• Strong SQL skills for test-data setup and validation.
• Ability to communicate risk-based release judgments to stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving testability.
• Mobile automation for iOS/Android.
• Familiarity with performance, accessibility, visual regression, or security testing basics.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy and automation architecture for a multi-domain product suite.
• Lead Playwright framework architecture, fixtures, utilities, and reporting.
• Ensure end-to-end coverage for UI, API, integration, contract, and data layers.
• Define release-quality gates and risk-based recommendations for shipping.
• Improve CI/CD test health with faster feedback and reduced flake.
• Perform root-cause analysis of incidents and translate into regression coverage.
• Set standards for AI-assisted test design and coverage gap analysis.
• Mentor QA and development engineers on testability and quality tooling.
