Job summary

Foodsmart seeks a proactive QA Lead to own day-to-day QA across web, mobile, and data platforms in a health-tech environment. You will lead test planning, automation, data validation, and ensure releases are compliant with HIPAA and industry standards.

You'll mentor junior testers, collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps, and drive CI/CD integration to deliver high-quality products on a remote-first team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software QA, including 3–5 years in a lead or senior role.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and data validation across web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Strong programming in Typescript/JavaScript and/or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and health tech regulatory standards.
• Experience with data warehouses Snowflake/Redshift.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of test plans and scripts.
• Coordinate testing across web, mobile, APIs, and backend services.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites with Playwright or Cypress.
• Validate data quality across data pipelines and data lakes.
• Support testing for AI/ML models and ensure output accuracy.
• Mentor QA engineers and ensure healthcare compliance in releases.
• Report test coverage and release readiness.
• Ensure CI/CD integration and fast feedback loops.
