Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a results-driven Quality Assurance Engineer to support Policyholder Portal applications. This contract-to-hire role requires manual, automation, API, and database testing, with a focus on early risk identification and cross-team collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of QA experience, strong REST/SOAP validation, SQL skills, and automation using tools like mabl, BrowserStack, Postman, and Jira. Remote across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
• Validating REST and SOAP with Postman or Bruno: requests, responses, auth, rules, errors, integrations.
• Writing SQL queries to validate data accuracy, integrity, transformations, interfaces, and business transactions.
• Experience with regression testing, defect management, and Agile or Scrum delivery practices.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting, problem solving, adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, leadership, mentoring, and customer focus.
• Preferred: Insurance application testing experience including policy lifecycle, coverage, billing, payments, claims, underwriting, renewals, cancellations, endorsements, communications, regulatory requirements.
• Preferred: iOS and Android testing including usability, performance, cross-device/browser compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Participate throughout SDLC/STLC, reviewing requirements, user stories, specs, and acceptance criteria for clarity and testability.
• Create risk-based test strategies, plans, scenarios, cases, and reusable test assets.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and UAT testing across web, desktop, and mobile apps.
• Identify, document, prioritize, track, retest, and close defects; support root-cause analysis and quality improvement.
• Partner with developers, analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to validate complex workflows and features.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using mabl; build reusable components and analyze results.
